Bathers Beach House

Located 19 km from Perth’s CBD, the city of Fremantle is a fashionable mix of Victorian architecture, trendy boutiques, restaurants, pubs, and Western Australia’s largest seaport. A recent addition to Fremantle’s nightlife and culinary experience is the Bathers Beach House which is right off the beach and overlooks the Indian Ocean.

Completed last December, the bustling two-storey bar and restaurant also frequently caters for business and private functions. The venue therefore required a sound system that was capable of controlling multiple zones and music sources, provide quality sound and be simple to operate and use on a daily basis.

Brenden Jones, Manager of Bathers Beach House and neighbouring CharCharBull steakhouse, sought advice from Perth’s Kosmic Sound and Lighting. “We definitely needed something that gave us a lot of control but was simple to operate once it was set up.” “Kosmic Sound recommended the PLENA matrix system, ” stated Mr Jones. “I was a little apprehensive as Bosch is not renowned for amplifiers. Once Kosmic demonstrated the system’s capabilities though, my opinion changed.”

18 x Electro-Voice EViD wall-mount loudspeakers and two ZX1 subwoofers are used to distribute the sound from two CD players and two iPods. “We are very happy with the EViDS,” said Brenden. “I am familiar with EV from playing in a band. The EViDs look and sound great and come in white or black, which suits our colour scheme well.”
